Background:
Uganda, known for its entrepreneurial spint, still faces challenges in providing ICT solutions to various sectors of its economy. Despite the country's efforts in providing internet connectivity, many rural areas and underserved communities lack access to ICT solutions and infrastructure. This digital divide hampers economic growth and limits opportunities for both business and socio-economic development gether, we can bridge the gap between the served and unserved communities by accelerating access to communication infrastructure and services in Uganda

Vetting criteria for solutions in this programme All applications will go through a rigorous vetting process conducted by an independent panel of experts. To ensure that applicants meet the core requirements for funding and resources, the following cri teria, even though not exhaustive, will guide the selection process, ensuring that only the most feasible and sustainable solutions are selected for further support

• To address these challenges, the Uganda Communication Com mission (UCC) in partnership with Makerere University Business School (MUBS) are offering a remarkable opportunity to provide communication solutions to the unserved and underserved sectors and communities. We are seeking competitive and sustainable c) Valve Proposition solutions that can solve societal challenges in unserved and un-d) Sustainability and Viability derserved sectors of the economy. Through this programme, wee) Scalability aim to contribute to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16 off Commercial Viability promoting peaceful and inclusive societies, ensuring public access) to information, and protecting fundamental freedoms. It also con-h) tributes to SDG 9, which focuses on building resilient infrastructure and fostering innovation, particularly through increasing access to ICT. Locally, the programme contributes to NDP because it recog nizes the ICT sector as one that can facilitate sustainable, effective, and efficient development through hamessing and utilising ICT in all spheres of life.
