JOB DETAILS:
Computer Laboratory Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Stock taking and control of all inventory in the laboratory.
• Running trials of exhibitions/demonstrations prior to the actual demonstration by learners or the teacher.
• Make periodic reports on the status of the inventory in the laboratory.
• Assist in any practical session preparation and conduct.
• Ensure the order and cleanliness of the laboratories and all its equipment.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness of all laboratory equipment and the users.
• Give any required technical advice to the ICT/Computer Studies teachers while inside or outside the laboratory.
• Work with and/or support individual or group of student(s) with his or her or their project(s).
• Liaise with ICT teachers to ensure there are no clashes of the schedules for the classes visiting the laboratory.
• Ensure that all health and safety precautions and procedures are understood and adhered to by anybody visiting the laboratory.
• Report all the damages to the teachers and/or the administration.
• Make any possible repairs of faulty computers and other accessories.
• Perform any other duty assigned by the relevant authority.

Qualifications and experience:
• A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science from a recognized Institution.
• At least two years teaching experience from a recognized school, with a good record of performance.
