JOB DETAILS:
Lugazi Diocese with support from Makerere University Walter Reed project through a system strengthening approach to improve HIV and TB Prevention, care and treatment services is implementing a comprehensive HIV/ AIDS prevention Care and Treatment program in collaboration with Local Government structures, Faith Based Organizations, Community Based Organizations (CBO), Ministry of Health, Ministry of Gender Labour and Social Development and other partners in the districts of Buvuma, Mukono, Buikwe, Luwero, Nakasongola. LUGAZI DIOCESE seeks to engage qualified persons, to support implementation of the Core DREAMS package among vulnerable and at-risk Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW), in Luwero District and implementation for KP program in Nakasongola and Luwero districts.

Position Summary:
The DREAMS Ambassador will support the implementation of the DREAMS project through mobilization, sensitization, and empower other AGYW through personal experiences, lessons learnt and testimonies in assigned districts to ensure that such girls are Determined, Resilient, AIDS Free, Mentored and Safe.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Project workplans
• In collaboration with the project team, implementing partners and Peers will mobilise, engage, empower AGYW using the community-based approaches to access, utilise social and clinical HIV prevention services.
• Under guidance from the Project Officer, will develop periodic work plans (Annual, Quarterly, and Monthly) for the implementation of community related project activities in line with the project activities
• Work with the Project Officers, Social workers, Community leaders, Sub- County Coordinators and facilitators to track the progress, identify barriers, and design corrective actions to attain project results.
• Organise peer review meetings in area of coverage to update key stakeholders on project progress and strategies, and proactively seek for opportunities to draw synergies with other on-going interventions.
• Actively participate in team building activities, Coordination meetings at regular intervals as a way of giving and receiving feedback and enhancement of team functionality.

Partnership support
• Under oversight from the PO, work closely with the Sub-County Coordinators to manage relationships at sub county and community level to be able to mobilise and engage vulnerable, AGYW in the assigned districts to remain free from HIV infection. Act as a coordination point for the Inkage of the DREAMS activites with other Community programs and partners to ensure collaboration, and integration services Work as an advocate for the DREAMS program at community and district level using the successes
• Participate in the referral system to urs quality utilization of the Social and Clinical based services
• Identification and mobilisation of eligible AGYW/ABYM and linking them to social support (peer) groups and platforms to access HIV prevention services
• Work with the DREAMS peers in facilities to ensure AGYW access quality services
• Work with partner C80% to maintain innovative and empowering group- based activities to promote retention of AGYWS in HIV prevention services

Required Education, Knowledge and Experience
• Must have completed Senior Four.
• Additional experience and Education qualifications are an added advantage Other desired attributes:
• Good written and oral communications skols
• Ability to work collaboratively and Independently to achieve set goals.

Physical Abilities:
• Ability to reside in Luwero
• Supervisary Controls: The individual will serve under the immediate supervision of The Technical Adviser Youth & Gender

Contract Tenure: 1 year with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funding
