JOB DETAILS:

Qualifications and Experience:
The candidate should be a holder of both Bachelors’ and Master’s degrees in any field.
She/he should have a minimum of 10 years working experience, five of which must be at Senior Management Level from a reputable organization. Past experience in working with students in a University or similar Institution will be an added advantage.

Personal Attributes:
• She/he should have a track of record of high integrity with interpersonal relations skills, leadership and people skills. She/he should have the ability to understand student behavioral patterns, group dynamics and inspire disciplined behavior.
• She/he should have proven ability to manage teams and transfer skills and knowledge to others through formal training and technical support. She/he should be computer literate.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensuring that students comply with the University rules and regulations
• Overseeing the general welfare of students as well as their social activities on the University campus.
• Being responsible in liason with the Academic Registrar for general and particular matters relating to the students’ academic affairs and progress.
• Offering advice to Uganda Martyrs University Students Union.
• Working as a link between the Students’ Union and the University Management.
• Ensuring that the students receive fair disciplinary proceedings at the University.
• Handling career guidance and organise orientation programmes.
• Being concerned with the health of the students in close collaboration with Health Insurance Provider.
• Dealing with International students and see to the dealings with the government officers such as passport, visas etc.
• Doing anything that is appropriate and necessary for the well-being of students.
