Qualifications and Experience:
The candidate should preferably be in possession of a PhD degree at the minimum rank of Lecturer.
The candidate should have proven senior managerial/leadership experience of at least eight (8) years in a reputable academic/private/public Institution.

Personal Attributes
• S/he should have good interpersonal relations and communication skills with a high degree of integrity and confidentiality. S/he must be a team player and computer literate.
• S/he should have the ability to mobilize financial resources and other support for the campus.
• S/he should be a Transformational leader with experience in initiating and implementing organizational change projects.

Key Responsibilities
• Coordinating all activities of Uganda Martyrs University, Campus and serve as an advocate for the Campus.
• Liaising closely with the various Deans and Directors of faculties and institutes which will be offering courses at the campus.
• Studying the potential and advising on opportunities for setting up new courses/programmes.
• To ensure that the hardware (Physical Infrastructure) in place is well maintained.
• Identifying staff requirements (Academic and Administrative) for the campus. In this regard, you will work closely with the DVC Academic Affairs, respective Deans, Directors and Heads of Department of Schools, faculties and institutes in consultation with the Director, Human Resources. All staff recruitment shall be in accordance with UMU’s Charter and Statutes copies of which shall be availed to you.
• S/he should be development oriented, enterprising with ability to mobilise financial, human and other resources for the operations and development of the campus.
• Promoting the academic and social activities of the campus bearing in mind UMU’s mission, vision and objectives.
• Implementing University policies and enforce applicable regulations at the campus.
• Exercise such other functions as may be prescribed by the University Council and University Senate.
• Carry out any other duty assigned to you by the relevant authority.
