JOB TITLE: Executive Director (ED)
JOB SUMMARY
The Executive Director will provide professional leadership in managing the Association strategically and ensuring that he/she keeps its image as a respected leading professional body with in the Muslim community, country and region..

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As head of the Secretariat, the Executive Director reports to the Board and is charged with the day to day running of the Association. More specifically, the UMTA ED shall:
• Be the CEO and chief accounting officer of the Association.
• Provide strategic leadership to the organisation through critical thinking and planning of future programme interventions.
• As secretary to the Board, the ED shall ensure that the organization is run to the best principal corporate governance based on external and internal policies.
• Establish and maintain robust partnerships, relations and linkages with all members, Partners organizations and other stakeholders locally and internationally.
• Carry out monitoring, evaluating and reporting on the interventions of UMTA.
• Perform any other duties incidental to the above as on the Board may delegate from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• At least a Bachelor's degree in any discipline. A post Graduate Diploma in project planning and management, general management or public administration will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of 5 years working experience with a proven track record oi 2 years at senior management position in an education institution or national organization.
• Demonstrate able understanding of the education and not for
• profit sectors in Uganda and the EAC region.
• 30-45 Years of age.
• MUST be a practicing Muslim.
