Kyagalanyi Coffee Ltd. [KCL) is a member of the Vol café group, the coffee division of ED&F Man. It is the oldest and one of the largest coffee exporters in Uganda and the first to become ISO 9001:2008 certified. We buy Arabica and Robusta in all coffee producing regions and export about 15% of Uganda's coffee production to over 30 consuming countries around the world. The company heavily invests in Uganda's coffee infrastructure and people. Our quality-oriented business strategy aims to lift the entire coffee sector and improve the quality perception of Ugandan Arabica and Robusta around the globe.
To ensure we can deliver on our service level to our global network, we are looking for enthusiastic candidates to join our team in the following positions.

Job Title: Gender Coordinator
Duty Station: Mount Elgon Region
Reports To: Scheme Manager
Kyagalanyi coffee Ltd. contributes to the professionalization of the coffee value chain. Our Farmer Support Teams work with coffee farming households to improve coffee production and livelihoods. The Gender Coordinator will take the lead on the implementation of our gender programme within the region.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Drive implementation of Gender Programme.
• Coordinate and drive further integration of the gender programme in overall farmer support activities.
• Monitoring and Evaluation and Technical Reporting.
• Management of gender field team.
• Support development of project proposals and budget.

Required qualifications, experiences, and competencies
• BSc or MSc in Social Science in Gender studies, Development studies or any related subject
• Minimum of 3 years working experience with the implementation of a Gender Programme.
• Experience in the coffee value chain
• Experience with the GALS methodology.
• Experience with VSLAS.
• Self-driven and pro-active.
• Proven ability to work independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relations with a range of stakeholders.
• Ability to ride a motorbike.
• Knowledge of local language is an added advantage.
