JOB DETAILS:
Bujagali Energy Ltd owns and operates a 250MW hydro power plant on the Nile river, 8km north of Jinja, Uganda. The power plant was commissioned in 2012 and since then has been supplying energy to the Ugandan grid. The organization now desires to enroll Graduate Trainees on a one-year-long program based at the plant.
Job Title: Graduate Trainee - Mechanical
Reports ta: Technical Manager

Specific responsibilities and duties include:
• Participate in all training programs of the company.
• Participate in inspection and maintenance of plant mechanical equipment
• Execute mechanical works for Bujagali Energy Limited.
• Design, plan and organize resources (labour and materials) for mechanical works.
• Manage and supervise mechanical casual workers and prepare work schedules and payment timesheets.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure safety of self and team mates at all times.
• Prepare necessary documents prior to works including permits to work and related safety documents, relevant procedures and work instructions.
• Plan, schedule, conduct educational tours and guide site visits within the plant as situation demands

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
