Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) is a faith-based private, not-for-profit University owned by the Episcopal Conference of Catholic Bishops of Uganda. it is set to host the World Bank Center of Excellence in Agro-ecology and Livelihood Systems (ACALISE).

The Center is looking for self motivated, dynamic and ethically upright people to fill a number of positions based at its main office at the Faculty of Agriculture, Nkozi.

Head ICT, Partnerships and information (1 Position)
Organization: Uganda Martyrs University/ACALISE
Duty Station: Nkozi, Uganda

Key duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for ICT related duties, Management information systems and Partnerships.
  
• Create and manage ACALISE website on daily basis
  
• Advise on purchase and carry out maintenance of ACALISE ICT appliances and systems
  
• Arrange and maintenance of partnerships
  
• Arrange student and Faculty mobility
  
• Organizinglogistics during project activities
  
• Create ACALISE information System and records data base in liaison with the University MIS
  
• Advise the Pl on Schedules and proper follow of project activities

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Postgraduate qualification and research experience in Agricultural Sciences
  
• A postgraduate degree in ICT— related fields
  
• Demonstrate leadership and management ICT teams
  
• Effective communication
  
• Awareness of new technologies and Implications of adopting the technologies
  
• Experience in project work
  
• Knowledge of Learning Management Systems
  
• Three years of relevant experience in management of ICT systems
  
• Experience in research is essential
  
• The candidate should be mature, self-driven and ready to work under pressure.
