Uganda Martyrs Hospital Lubaga, formerly Rubaga Hospital founded in 1899, is a hospital in the health network of the Archdiocese of Kampala and one of the 30+ private for non- profit hospitals within the Catholic network UCMB in Uganda.

Lubaga Hospital is looking for suitably qualified persons to fill the positions below:

JOB TITLE: Information Technology Manager

In General the IT Manager offers leadership in the IT department and is responsible for organization
- wide systems and information. Should have a proven record of committed leadership and is familiar with the values and teaching of the Catholic Church.

Minimum Professional Requirements:

• MSc in Information Technology
  
• BS in Computer Science, MIS or similar field
  
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/ software systems
  
• Expertise in data centre management and data governance
  
• Hands
  
• on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
  
• Basic knowledge of patient management and knowledge of International Accounting Standards
  
• Postgraduate qualifications in Management is of added advantage
  
• Knowledge and understanding of Hospital Management Information Systems is a basic requirement
  

JOB PURPOSE

• The Service Consultant forms part of the services team.
  
• The Services team ensures that software is effectively implemented, maintained and continues to provide uptime within the customer.
  
• The primary focus is to ensure the TECHNOLOGY is effectively functional at all times.
  

SPECIFIC TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• TCP/IP, Domain networks
  
• SQL – ability to write a script/stored procedure.
  
• Ability to query a database.
  
• Software development and/programming exposure.
  
• ABX and Telephone Systems.
  
• Computer skills: Internet Explorer/Chrome
  

Experience:

• Applicants should bear at least five years’ experience in management of IT teams within reputable institutions.
