Name of Project: Responsible Fisheries Business Chains Project - RFBCP
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a public-beneft German company with worldwide operations in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development GIZ Uganda through RFBCP invites bids from competent and eigible firms to provide consultancy services for the provision of technical supervision for business development services training.
GIZ-RFBCP is implementing the Business Development Service (BDS) training which will be provided in the 10 fishing districts along Lake Kyoga including Amolator, Apac, Buyende, Kwania, Kaberamaico, Serere, Soros, Nakasongola, Dokolo and Kayunga to enhance the application of business skils among faneries SME's organized in groups.
The BDS project will offer 4 intervention areas of Entrepreneurship, Financial Management, Responsible Fisheries, and Fish Handling and preservation to the target categories including baras, fah processors, fish traders, boat owners, and by-product processors
Eligibility criteria
The following information and documents will be required during evaluation on a pass tail basis and non-compliant bids will be eliminated.
• Registered powers of attorney authorizing signatory representative of the firm to sign biastenders on behalf of the Cument and valid Income Tax Clearance Certificate addressed to GIZ Valid Trading License
• Bid validity period of 120 working days.
Experience required.
Qualified and experienced Consultancy Companies with a proven track record in Business Development Services and over 5 years of experience in adult training programs, especially relating to business development Experience within the faheries business sector will be seen as an added value.
Key Staff required for the assignment.
The consultancy company should consist of a Project leader, 2 technical advisors, and 1 support staff in finance and administration.
