JOB DETAILS:

Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA) is mandated to regulate, promote and oversee the quality of coffee along the entire value chain, support research and development, promote production, and improve the marketing of coffee to optimize earnings for coffee stakeholders and the country.
UCDA's Vision is 'An Inclusive, Transformative and Sustainable Coffee Industry' and its mission is "To increase quality coffee production, productivity, value addition, marketing and consumption". Its core values are: Client focus, Teamwork, Integrity and Professionalism.
In order to achieve its mandate, UCDA is desirous of recruiting a motivated and competent individual to fill the position of Manager Statistics.

MINIMUM EDUCATION
• Master's Degree in Statistics, Quantita- tive Economics, Economics, or related discipline.
• A Bachelor Degree with Honours in Statis- tics, Quantitative Economics, Economics and Statistics, Mathematics and Econom- ics, or relevant discipline.
• Post-graduation certificates in Statistics or Public Administration, Management, Monitoring and Evaluation will be added advantage.
• Membership to the Uganda Statistical Society.
• Membership to an International Statistics Institute or any other statistical association will be an added advantage.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
• A minimum of seven (7) years relevant working experience, three (3) years of which should have been served at a managerial level in Government or reputable organisation in public or private sector.

• Interpersonal and team building skills, Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• Proficiency in usage of statistical analy- sis packages such as: SPSS, STATA, Excel, MS ACCESS, Epinfo,
• Innovation, and concern for quality. Strategic thinking and Negotiation Skills. Policy Development, and Research and Project Management Skills.
