Required Tasks: • Lead in analytical and business strategic work pertaining to small holder commercial agriculture, agribusiness and rural enterprise development;
• Develop new business partnerships, manage the existing ones and review the running partnerships.
• You will be required to recruit new business partners and identifying future opportunities for impact across the Programme impact areas;
• Be part of designing and analyzing market-related studies in areas of operation and pick key programmatic lessons and opportunities for efficiency in market;
• Assist SG2000 Country Office teams to evaluate business models and market linkage approaches;
• Support the SG2000 Country Office team to work with farmers, farmer organizations and Village Saving & Loan Associations (VSLAs) to create new and/or diversified market linkages and build partnerships; Identifying capacity & training needs and techniques for selected agricultural value chains that improve smallholder farmers' food security, yields, product quality, nutrition and incomes;
• Develop and enhance working partnerships in areas of mutual interest across the value chain with donors and other external public or private organizations,
• Participate fully in the preparation of work plans and budgets, reports and updates on business development strategies and activities;
• Support in developing and piloting public-private partnership models;
• Perform any other activities as and when required by Management.
Academic Qualifications and Work Experience Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture Economics, Agribusiness, Rural Development or any other related field.
At least 5 years of work experience working in related field.

JOB DETAILS: Job Overview The focus of the position is to coordinate the overall financial resourcing and performance management of SAA-Uganda which include planning and implementation of the budgetary resources, monitoring, and reporting of financial performance. The FC reports to the SAA Country Director / Deputy Country Director and the Head of Finance (HoF) at the Strategic Partnership Office (SPO) This position is located at the SAA Country office in Kampala.
Required Tasks: • Take the lead and oversee the Organization's financial component in the Country,
• Oversee all Organization's financial reporting processes, including project budgeting and financial performance monitoring,
• Ensure overall preparation of the Organization's accounting ledgers and project accounts in accordance with international best practices and standards,
• Maintain a documented system of financial policies and procedures, implement a system of controls over financial transactions to minimize risk.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, ad-hoc and annual financial reports for the organization and internal management reports for the Country Management and SPO containing budget to actual expenditure information,

Education Background and Technical Competencies: • Minimum requirement BA in Accounting, MBA (Finance) with 10 years or MA with 8 years of experience in Accounting and Finance.

• Experience in cost management, budget formulation, financial monitoring, accounting, audit, and financial reporting;
• Experience in financially managing complex donor-funded grant programs;
• Ability to use Accounting software (e.g., Navision Dynamics);
• Ability to adhere to SAA and donor financial procedures, regulations, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles;
• Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality,
• Experience in cost management, budget formulation, financial monitoring, accounting, audit, and financial reporting, Experience in financially managing complex donor-funded grant programs; Ability to use Accounting software (e.g., Navision Dynamics);
• Ability to adhere to SAA and donor financial procedures, regulations, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles;
