Twiga Foods Limited is looking for suitably qualified Ugandan citizens to fill the role of a Fulfilment Representative. This role is responsible for seamlessly delivering products to the customers as per the laid out delivery schedule, building customer engagement and collecting payments within the set timelines and laid out standard operating procedures to the customer’s satisfaction and convenience.
The role holder will also be required to achieve the set business targets including the set sales revenues. The role will also be responsible for gathering and monitoring the competitor activities and sharing market insights with all relevant internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Order Delivery and Payment Collection:

1. Follow the laid-out route plan, deliver ordered produce/products to vendors in the assigned route as per the delivery manifest.
2. Unload and deliver items in a safe and secure manner to prevent damage, spoilage or loss at the scheduled time, keeping a clear log on delivery times for all orders, accounting for all assigned crates, and ensuring payment for goods upon delivery.
3. Timely collection of customers returns and ensuring the end-of-day stock reconciliation completed within the set timelines.

Asset Management:

1. Inspect the assigned delivery assets i.e. DMS handset and crates and verify that they are maintained as per the set standards and are available for inspection where need be.

Customer Engagement:
1. Develop rapport, understand and anticipate the customers’ needs and initiate actions to solve them or escalate as required.
2. Maintain quality customer service in the delivery of the customer's promise.

Market Intelligence:
1. Gather market intelligence and insights and share them with the Line Manager.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

2. At least 2 years of relevant work experience in order management and delivery.
3. Have strong communication skills and be adept at customer service and multitasking.
4. Have basic computer competency to write reports and perform basic data entry.
5. Be physically mobile and able to lift heavy loads without strain.
6. Have a Certificate / Diploma / Post-secondary education qualification in Marketing, Business, Sales, or a related field.
7. Be an active listener, adaptable, resilient, and be coachable.
8. Possesses demonstrable experience in building rapport and trust to develop long-term relationships, leading to commercial opportunities.
9. Possess exceptional communication and networking skills with great collaboration skills and a strong independent work ethic.
10. Can thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing environment.
11. Have Ugandan nationality or legal permission to work in Uganda.

Site Supervisor Vacancy - Uganda

Twiga Foods Limited is looking for suitably qualified individuals to fill the role of Site Supervisor. The Site Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day shift management at the Warehouse assigned. The role will deliver timely, accurate, and efficient inbound (receipt & storage), outbound (staging, picking & packing)), and dispatch of inventory and assets in the assigned facility.
The role holder will execute work as defined and planned and report any outliers to the Site Officer for resolution. The job holder will support the end of the shift reconciliation position of inventory and hand over the shift to their counterpart while closing loop with the declarants for passing of records as required.
The role holder will ensure adherence to work processes in the daily operations in a shift by operating a safe environment for people, ensuring machines' safety, and safe products through work instructions according to laid down procedures.
The role holder will effectively issue developed work instructions as issued, coach, guide and resolve challenges facing warehouse processing teams, enabling performance and the continuous building of the capability to deliver world-class warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities
Execution of work against plan
The job holder will execute predetermined work processes as defined by:

1. Assign planned work for execution to expected standards to warehouse processing teams.
2. Achieve the desired KPIs within the shift activities against Supply and Demand plans and attain Space Utilization plans.
3. Deliver and drive efficiency through utilization of resources & monitor process adherence and measure the performance efficiency within the warehouse.

Optimal Warehousing
1. Measure process adherence and report on the performance metrics within the shift in the warehouse.
2. Reconcile the stock position of the assigned shift while ensuring stock uptime while minimizing losses and shrinkage.
3. Automate all applicable processes by presenting a business case for consideration.

Compliance
1. Executing processing plans and optimizing resource allocation within agreed standards.
2. Enforce compliance with relevant regulations and by conforming to Twiga’s quality, environmental, food and safety requirements which are instrumental to facilities management.
3. Comply with all organization policies, procedures, and statutory guidelines. Minimize and mitigate risks to the organization and enforce zero-tolerance to non-compliance.
4. Close gaps/lapses identified as an outcome of audits; risk and/or any other compliance review; investigations; or other assessment mechanisms and take corrective/preventive actions within the agreed timelines.

Team & Self-management
1. Engage, coach, manage and motivate the team.
2. Model Twiga’s culture and way of working and inculcating this within the team.
3. Deliver the performance objectives set for the team. Hold monthly 1-on-1 performance reviews with the individual team members, and with own line manager, and institute corrective action where performance falls below expectation.
4. Proactively manage the teams’ and own learning and development
5. Adhere to the annual leave plan agreed with the line manager.
6. Adhere to people management policies.

Product and Asset Management
1. Receive, reconcile, and report on the products and assets received within agreed SLAs.
2. Verify and confirm all products and assets are accounted for, verified, recorded, and reported by the team before releasing them at the end of the shift.
3. Hand over, reconcile and report on the product and assets returned to facility at the end of the shift, within agreed SLAs.
4. Promptly escalate issues to the line manager and propose solution(s) for approval and implementation.

Reporting
1. Maintain custody of all relevant documentation in the format and standard set. Keep record of labor utilized.
2. Utilize organization systems as provide, capture accurate and timely data to enable sound decision making and actions.
3. Present comprehensive, accurate and informative reports with trends, insights, concerns, and recommendations clearly elaborated.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in business management, logistics, supply chain management or related field.
2. At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally, you would have an established background in a Fresh Produce / Consumer Goods company in a Warehouse role.
3. Excellent organization & time management skills
4. Exceptional numerical skills and an understanding of inventory management
5. Familiar with warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
6. Leadership experience, ability, and willingness to manage a diverse team of staff.
7. Willingness to work anywhere in the country.
