KIFAD's sectors of operation include; HIV/AIDS, Health, Economic Empowerment, Child Protection, Education, livelihoods, Food Security and Nutrition programs in Wakiso District.

KIFAD intends to implement a project, “Grow Together” Transformation of gender relations in Uganda towards equal participation, economic empowerment and improved menstrual health for women and girls in Teso (Katakwi and Amuria) Region.
We are looking for dynamic and suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL). This position requires a person with a high degree of flexibility, integrity and the capacity to deliver beyond expectations in order to meet the organization's strategic goals based in Katakwi and Amuria Districts, Teso Region, Uganda.
Job Summary:
The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer will assist the Project Manager and other project staff in all data collection, analysis, and learning activities to help ensure accountability and efficiency from start to finish of the project. The incumbent will provide technical field support to project staff within the organization. S/he will work closely with Project team to assess field conditions, support capacity building initiatives, and facilitate the collection of quality data under the supervision of the Project Manager. The jobholder will also collaborate with the Project Management unit as assigned by the Project Manager in reviewing and preparing monthly, quarterly and final narrative reports. The jobholder will work in liaison with other Members of the team, as need be, on follow up of project indicators, implementation of processes, standard operating procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Social sciences, Statistics/ M&E studies or related disciplines.
• A minimum of 3-5years’ field experience in a similar position in development and/or humanitarian context, preferably within a non-governmental organization.
• Experience in database development, IT data capturing, monitoring and evaluating (SPSS and Excel/Access).
• Knowledge of developing a project Logical framework and ability to conduct Data Quality Audit.
• Ability to design M&E tools, surveys, Assessments,
• Demonstrated ability to train and build capacity of staff in M&E related areas
• Good communication and inter-personal skills, team player, able to work under minimal supervision in a fast-paced academic environment.
• Willingness to be based in a rural setting with frequent travel within the implementation area.
• Cultural sensitivity, patience and flexibility
• Required Language: English fluency with excellent oral and writing skills is required.
Added Advantage:
• A post graduate diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation or Project planning and management.
• Experience in setting up M&E systems.
• Knowledge of Ateso and any of the local languages spoken in the Project area
