• The job holder is a part of the company FOPS site team and will report directly to M&I
superintendent
• They shall technically lead on site the maintenance activities and operations for the entire ICSS discipline in Central Processing Facility CPF, 29 Wellpads and LPG extraction covering
• 408 ICSS cabinets – PCS / PSS - AMS functions - Hart& IMS & Maintenance Advisor Software - 4 x 21Mw GTG – Third party packages networks with UCP / PLC – 200 MPFM with monitoring network–Online machine monitoring - 17000 I/O hardwired - Tank gauging monitoring- Cybersecurity structure Central Control Room and Smart Room with overall Complexity greater than two FPSO
• Ensure that the operational maintenance activities developed are technically accurate and can be executed in a safe and efficient manner in the production phase.
• They shall ensure that all resources (tools, equipment, spare parts) are in place to minimize
operational risk and ensure highest efficiency.
• Based on site in back-to-back position / Rotational position Reporting line in organization
Activities
• Ensure the preparation and execution of complex site maintenance procedures for ICSS and HIPS including any maintenance and testing procedures with final reports
• Use - Follow and develop the Instrument Monitoring System (IMS) for ICSS health and condition monitoring and ensure applications in place as required to effectively manage maintenance operations post Startup
• Ensure that all maintenance operations are executed efficiently with quality, according to the planning and within a good sequence
• Responsible for the safety, quality, environmental and efficiency of all maintenance in ICSS discipline activities at site
• Build the onsite daily maintenance in ICSS discipline (coordination, meetings, planning, site organization, work control, etc.)
• Provide specialist technical support and guidance to site personnel on the operation and maintenance of the ICSS ensuring highest safety standards, a timely response to queries and minimal disruption to operations
• Assist to maintain safety standard during Safety and Environment Critical Element – High Integrity Protection Systems and Safety Tests
• Assist in maintaining affiliate procedures and dedicated reports related to Industrial Cyber Security in accordance with Company Rules and ensure rules are applied and followed on site.
• Ensure and follow the software backups availability with the latest version in operation
• Contribute to the ongoing monitoring of strategies for the maintenance and operation of ICSS to ensure that all plants and equipment meet operational requirements (lifecycle -spare parts-.)
• Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe and effective manner and that all interventions are controlled by authorized persons, satisfy statutory and Company standards and that no hazardous incidents or events occur.
• Safety Function SIF and SIL theoretical &practical good knowledge of requirements and rules as applied in HIPS / SECE / F&G / ESD /…
• Assistance with the Commissioning/start up teams and Production/Maintenance CPY teams as required and attend SAT as required
• Prepare intervention reports related to Discipline
• Use and assist and develop, by proposing modifications, the digital monitoring tool available as IMS Maintenance Advisor-PI-MPFM monitoring-VSD monitoring-ECS network
• Assist the department management and planning team in implementing the scheduling of discipline maintenance activities ensuring that site personnel have all resources (resources, materials, procedures) to timely execute the tasks.
• Training /Mentoring of technicians
• Vendor management
• Monitor contractor performance in ICSS discipline and participate, as appropriate, in contractors’ audits
• Lead investigations into equipment failures and outages with E&I Method Support Team
• Identify opportunities to improve contractor / supplier performance and improve the quality of services / products supplied
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with site personnel through effective communication and with E&I Support Team
• Prepare reports relating to equipment performance. As technical report with analysis and improvements proposals.
• Supervises and coordinates on-site work carried out by SMC engineers in the disciplines under his/her responsibility.
• Ensure the management of the intervention reports
Context and environment
There is no equivalent project of such an industrial drilling magnitude in a remote and sensitive area within the Group today.
The Tilenga oilfields are partly situated in a protected National Park, partly beneath the river Nile wetlands area, and within densely populated area in a rural and remote part of Uganda. Activities exposed to the risk of major incidents with severe potential consequences due to local environment and important presence of NGO’s. Factory Drilling with a well delivered every 4 days using 3 drilling rigs simultaneously will necessitate standardization of equipment and procedures, strict enforcement of Drilling & Well instructions, safe and efficient logistic management on site. The project is focused on delivering the lowest possible cost, which requires challenging TOTAL design concepts as well as substantially challenging the TOTAL referential. Multicultural environment: Contractors are anticipated to be in various parts of the world. Ugandan rules and regulations, administrative requirements and technical authorizations as well as international codes for onshore plant will apply.
Accountabilities
• Ensure highest safety standards and continuity and optimization of production
• Demonstrate personal commitment to the HSE Policy and additional focus on ICSS works
• Ensure compliance in all safety functions SIF as HIPS / SECE / F&G / ESD
• Provide all ICSS discipline related technical support and assistance to site-based team
• Develop and maintain productive and constructive relationships with site-based personnel, office operations/technical teams and external contractors/vendors
• Identify and adopt creative and alternative approaches to problem-solving and encourage this practice
• Ensure highest efficiency in maintenance program, planning and intervention in ICSS discipline by using digital tools available
Qualifications/Experience required
Qualification: Degree in Electronic, Electrical or Control System engineering or other relevant equivalent from an accredited university.
Experience and Skills:
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Electrical – Instrumentation-Automation engineering and/or maintenance in a petrochemical environment.
• Experience in similar position working for operations in Oil & Gas
• Good knowledge of TOTAL General Specifications (GS), Guides manuals GM, SECE, SIF, SIL & Cybersecurity requirements
• A good awareness of E&I disciplines for best transversality.
• A good working knowledge of office software packages such as Excel, and preferably experienced in a CMIMS (e.g. SAP, UNISOL)
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills as well as a good level of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office. English mandatory
• Must have good working knowledge of codes and standards used in the industry (NEC, NEMA, ISO, IEC, ATEX, NORSOK, ASME, ASTM, API, ANSI etc....)
