JOB DETAILS:
Reporting to Senior Planning Officer, the successful candidate shall be at the DDA head Office and shall be required to perform the following duties;
• Producing briefs, reports, reviews and other documentations on the status of dairy sector in the country.
• Analyzing dairy trends and advising on its effects as well as implications on the dairy sub-sector and the economy.
• Participating in the preparation of DDA Ministerial policy statement, Budget framework papers and dairy sector performance reports.
• Compiling and analylising data as may be required for the department and the Authority in line with National Dairy Strategy.
• Participating the formulation of medium –tem and long –term plans and strategies for the sub-sector by coordinating and cooperating with the respective stakeholders.
• Giving technical assistance to the various departments of the authority in regard to data handling and management.
• Participating in Monitoring & Evaluation of the Authority has planned activities.
• Focal person for the Authority’s data.
• Producing statistical abstract
• Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications and experience
• Honours Degree in Economics or Honours degree in Statistics or any relevant Honors degree from a recognized University
• Postgraduate qualification in Project Planning and Management or Monitoring & Evaluation is added advantage.
• At least two (2) years of relevant experience in Annual Work Planning & Budgeting in Government of Uganda system.
