Supervises: Senior Lecturer and Lecturers.
Contract Period: 5 years

Main purpose of the post:
Responsible for developing and delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences for students, conducting research, and contributing to the overall academic growth and reputation of the institute in line with its mandate.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Carry out research and innovation according to the strategic goals of the institute to transform into a CoE.
2. Develop new programmes and review the existing courses to meet the existing and future demand
3. Market courses and consultancy services
4. Set examinations, mark and submit student performance records to Head of Department
5. Contribute to the program and administrative development of the Department
6. Participate in preparation of funding proposals
7. Participate and contribute in Departmental meetings
8. Scholarly engage in activities involving the development of teaching- and- learning materials and the publication of textbooks and papers in recognized journals.
9. Participating in the development, implementation and maintenance of academic quality assurance arrangements;

Person Specifications
Qualification/Training and experience:
(i) A minimum of Master’s Degree in Telecom or ICT Engineering
(ii) Minimum of 5 years of teaching in a recognized institution of higher learning or 5 years of industrial experience
(iii) At least three (03) relevant publications in referred journals or professional bulletins.
(iv) Professional/Technical certificate (CCNA, IT Essentials, OCA, and MCP) also a desirable. A PhD will be an added advantage.
