The Government of the Republic of Uganda has received financing from the OPEC Fund for International Development (OPEC Fund), the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) and the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) (hereinafter called "the Funds") towards the cost of The Uganda Heart Institute Infrastructure Development Project [Construction and Equipping Uganda Heart Institute Project], and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the contract for civil works for the above project The scope of the works under the contract includes construction of reinforced concrete framed structures, with a total floor area of approximately 39,510m2. The works include Building works, Electrical and Mechanical installations, ICT installations, Water Reticulation, Sewerage System, Storm Water Drainage and Extemal Works

The Uganda Heart Institute, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction of Uganda Heart Institute at Plots 18-24, Naguru Avenue, Kampala, Uganda (hereinafter called the Works) and the remedying of any defects therein.

Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the Guidelines for the Procurement of Goods and Contracting for the Execution of Works under Development Institutions Members of the Coordination Group Version 2001.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the tender documents at the address given below during office hours (08.00 to 17.00Hrs East African Standard Time)

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased
by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX: 500,000 [Uganda Shillings: Five Hundred Thousand Only] or equivalent in convertible currency.

Bidders will pick payment request forms from the Uganda Heart Institute Accounts Department at the address below and payment shall be made as per the advice from the Uganda Heart Institute

Bids must be submitted to the above-mentioned office not later than 1° July 2024 at or before 11:30 hours East Africa Standard Time and must be accompanied by a tender security in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, in the amount of United States Dollars Two Milion only. (USD 2,000,000)

Bids will be opened in a session to be held at the office mentioned below and in the presence of representatives of bidders who wish to attend. This session will occur at 12:30 hours East Africa Standard Time on 1 July 2024 or such other time and date as may be notified to the tenderers
