JOB DETAILS:
The Governing Council Appointments Committee of Uganda Technical College, Elgon in Mbale District invites suitably qualified Ugandans to apply for the following post available at the College. Post: Procurement Officer
Scale E4(UGX 500,000 Per Month).

Duties
To liaise with end users and prepare draft procurement plan for an entity. • To guide the suppliers on procurement procedures.
• To verify procurement and disposal requisitions.
• To prepare draft bid documents and, participate in evaluation of bids as and when assigned.
• To compile documentations and maintain safe custody of procurement and disposal records.
• To enter sanctioned transactions on the systems for further processing and produce required reports.
• Any other duties as assigned from time to time

Person specifications
Applicants must be holders of :
An Honors Bachelors degree in Supply Chain management or Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with specialization in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from a recognized institution
OR
Full professional qualification/ membership from recognized institutions
Should have at least two years relevant work experience in public procurement guided by the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets (PPDA) Act
Age limit 41 Years
