JOB DETAILS:
Job Title: Program Manager, CURE Neuro

Job Summary:
To provide operational, financial, and spiritual oversight of the global CN program, acts as the primary liaison between field-based care coordinators and the Mission Support Center to oversee program operations the goals and growth plans, and that these plans are executed according to CURE minimum operating standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
ACTIVITIES

Management function
Run the day-to-day operations of the program, including the management of the global staff of Regional Program Manager, Care Coordinators (contractors), and Program Coordinator.
Partnership arrangement function
• Manage partnerships with existing Partner Treatment Locations in Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia.
• Interact with neurosurgeons and hospital administrators to establish and support CURE Neuro Partner Treatment Locations in non-CURE hospitals.
Training function for Neurosurgeons
• Work with existing trained neurosurgeons to support and improve their delivery of surgical care for patients with hydrocephalus and spina bifida.
• Identify prospective surgical candidates for training in hydrocephalus and spina bifida care.
• Identify and train new Care Coordinators in collaboration with CURE Neuro team
Program advancement initiative function
Develop, build and lead initiatives for continued strengthening of the program.
Spiritual Ministry function
Work with the Senior Director of Spiritual Ministry and CURE Uganda Spiritual Ministry Coordinator to help fulfill the organizational mission through contextually appropriate spiritual ministry activities at Partner Treatment Locations.
Care coordinator support function
• Identify and train new Care Coordinators in collaboration with CURE Neuro team.
• Foster communication and connection between Care Coordinators to support their ongoing development and engagement.
Manage Inventory
• Manage equipment inventory for ETV procedures to ensure its availability in accordance with terms of MOU.
Manage Research
• Institute and use existing templates, standardized research data, and systems to collect data.
Monitoring and evaluation function
• Evaluate and monitor efficacy of Partner Treatment Locations and program as a whole.
Donor relations & Grant funding function
• Work with CURE Advancement team to support donor relationships and grant funding.
Budgeting function
• Develop the annual budget in consultant with CURE Uganda Executive Director and Regional Manager.
Occupational Health & Safety
• Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn when carrying out laboratory work in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety Policy of the hospital.
• Comply with established health and safety policies with regard to handling of equipment, sample specimen, disposal of sharps and other potentially dangerous medical waste.
• Participating in activities directed at preventing harm & promoting well-being in the workplace Identifying, accurate reporting of incidents & self-managing hazards where appropriate.
• Reports any malfunction of equipment to the appropriate person (s) as soon as possible.,
Other duties
• Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by Supervisor

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare administration, healthcare management, business administration or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare administration; significant previous experience in managerial roles, new program development, and/or financial and operational administration.
• Previous experience with project management.
• Fluency in English required and multiple other languages preferred.
• Public health program administration experience preferred.
• Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience with international non-profit management.
• Candidates with previous experience in the medical field and/or with an NGO providing health care services is an added advantage.
• International travel experience is an added advantage.
