Job Description:
CGS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Controls Technician to join our team. The Project Controls Technician will be responsible for managing the project controls activities and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client. The Project Controls Technician will also be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks, managing change, and providing accurate and timely reporting to the project team and clients.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement project controls processes and procedures to ensure compliance with client requirements and project objectives.
• Manage the project schedule, budget, and scope to ensure that project objectives are met.
• Identify and mitigate project risks by developing and implementing risk management plans.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting to the project team and clients on project status, including cost, schedule, and risk.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors.
• Manage change requests and maintain the change control log to ensure that changes are properly documented and approved.
• Provide guidance and support to the project team on project controls processes and procedures.
• Ensure that project controls data is accurate and up-to-date and that it is properly entered into the project management system.
• Participate in project meetings and provide input on project controls issues.

Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in project management or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in project controls management in a construction, engineering, or consulting environment.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, including cost control, scheduling, risk management, and change management.
• Experience working on projects for U.S. Government agencies is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with project stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Must be a Ugandan citizen or legally be able to work in Uganda

Requirements
