JOB DETAILS:
The Provincial Secretariat of of the Church of Uganda (COU) seeks to recruit a suitable, qualified, dynamic and competent person for the position of Project Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. This position requires an individual who is well knowledgeable and experienced in Monitoring and Evaluation field (especially in setting up and managing systems, data processing and analysis) for at least three (3) years, a team player, able to work under tight deadlines with minimum supervision, computer literate and able to multitask, have good interpersonal and English communication skills (oral & written).
Position: Project Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Reports to: Project Manager
Summary of responsibilities:
• Develop project monitoring and evaluation tools
• Oversee project data collection
• Review project performance monitoring and evaluation plans
• Manage day to day operations of the Monitoring and Evaluation system
• Provide technical Monitoring and Evaluation support during grant proposal development/review
• Support Project field staff in continued use of Monitoring and Evaluation tools/instruments
• Project data validation
• Staff training/capacity building
• M & E Reporting
• Supervise Project Data staff
Desired person specifications and skills:
• University graduate in Social Sciences / Economics / Bio statistics / Development Studies or any other related field
• Post graduate qualifications in Monitoring and Evaluation (added advantage)
• Prior experience in Project Planning and implementation or programming is a must
• Practicing and committed to the values of Church of Uganda
• Willingness to work long hours including weekends/public holidays and ability to travel extensively across the Province
• Self-motivated individual with high level of integrity
• Project writing skills
• Innovative skills
• Supervisory skills Duration of initial contract: 1 year (Renewable depending on performance)
