Overview
Do you have a passion for improving public health outcomes in Sub-Saharan Africa? Are you a seasoned Public Health Specialist with a proven track record of success in the region? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
We are Looking for a highly motivated and experienced Public Health Specialist to join our team as a Health Systems Strengthening Consultant in evaluating the “USAID Uganda Strengthening Supply Chain Systems Activity (SSCS)”. You will work alongside a team of experts to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the program's effectiveness, focusing on the public health (health systems strengthening) impact of the interventions.

Responsibilities
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the evaluation plan, specifically focusing on public health (health systems strengthening) aspects.
• Conduct interviews, focus group discussions, and document reviews to assess the program's impact on health service delivery, health outcomes, and access to essential medicines.
• Analyze data and synthesize findings to assess the extent to which the program achieved its public health objectives.
• Identify lessons learned and recommendations for future programs, considering public health implications and sustainability.
• Contribute to the preparation of high-quality reports and presentations for stakeholders, including USAID officials and Ugandan government representatives.

Qualifications
• Master's degree in public health or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience working in public health systems, preferably in Sub-Saharan Africa for USG funded programs (or similar)
• Proven expertise in health systems strengthening, with a strong understanding of the health sector in Uganda.
• Experience in conducting program evaluations, particularly those focused on public health outcomes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
