Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Project implementation manager to work in Kampala Uganda.
Job Title: Project Implementation Manager
Reports to:
Head of Operations
Supervisees:
Project Officers
Other Working Relationships:
• Head Procurement & Disposal
• ICT Manager
• Sales

Job roles and responsibilities
The overall purpose of the job is to plan and oversee the project management cycle. The job holder will oversee project idea conceptualization and ensure that such ideas are concretized into tangible deliverables including their closure. Specifically, the job holder will be responsible for the following:
• Developing and leading the strategic direction of the Projects Unit,
• Developing and implementing the project ideas
• Developing and operationalizing all the relevant project management tools for planning, budgeting, controlling, risk, stakeholder, communication, etc.
• Organising and coordinating project performance review events,
• Generating periodical project reports for onward submission to the Board,
• Overseeing the performance of the project sub-contractors,
• Establishing and operationalizing project quality assurance and compliance protocols/ frameworks
• Monitoring the project implementation and the respective outcomes.
• Establishing a conducive working environment for the project staff to enable them to execute their roles.
• Coordinating and managing the assigned project resources with the aim of ensuring project success.
• Identifying performance gaps among the staff under the unit and proposing actionable recommendations,
• Inculcating a positive culture that supports teamwork and productivity in projects.
• Coordinating and managing the project stakeholders with the view of meeting their expectations and obligations.
• Carrying out any other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor

Key academic qualification
The job requires a person with a high sense of maturity, versatility, and composure with the following academic qualifications:
• A Master’s degree in any of the following areas- Project Management, IT, Industrial Engineering, Electrical/ Mechanical International Relations/ Business, Business Administrations, Operations Management, Supplies Chain & Logistics Management, from a recognized University.
• A Bachelor’s degree in any of the above fields from a recognized University
• Membership in any relevant professional bodies like;
• Project Management Professional,
• Prince2,
• Certified Facility Manager (CFM)
• Risk Management Professional (RMP)
• Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)
• Certified Operations Manager (COM)

Working experience and other relevant skills
The job requires practical and relevant working experience of at least 10 years, 5 of which should have been at a senior management level in the project environment of a reputable organization preferably a state-own enterprise/ corporate or commercial entity whose operations are heavily based on an IT infrastructure. Other requirements include:
• Demonstrable ability to apply Lean principles and tools in operations management.
• Proven track record of delivering/ managing operations of a manufacturing nature preferably in a printing/ secure document management industry.
• Demonstrable high level of emotional and social intelligence
• Demonstrable ability to lead multi-cultural teams.
• Demonstrable ability to develop and implement strategies, systems & policies.
• Demonstrable understanding of Global logistics management system.
• Thorough understanding of necessary global, regional and national regulatory policy frameworks regarding industrial operations.
• Ability to address problems and opportunities for the company.
• Ability to build alliances and partnerships with other organizations.
• Proven ability to communicate with a top executive level of Government and the Business Sector
• Excellent English skills are a must and knowledge of any other international language like; German, French, Swahili skills is a plus
• Familiarity with security printing technologies and workflow process is a plus.
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices like; network diagrams, MS Project, PERT, or CPM is a plus
• Ability to write analytical and concise performance reports
• Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills to promote corporate entrepreneurship
• Ability to relate well and manage both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to build strong teams and capacitate them.
