Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Sales and marketing manager to work in Kampala Uganda.

Job roles and responsibilities
The overall purpose of this position is to provide the strategic direction of the sales and marketing department with the view of expanding the company’s market share and portfolio growth.
The job holder will lead a team of sales professionals involved in the sales and marketing activities. S/he track market developments, create strategies, set up sales plans, and maintain customer relations. Specifically, the job holder will be responsible for the following:
• Developing and implementing the departmental work plan and budget
• Pursuing the realization of the departmental goals and objectives
• Managing the departmental resources,
• Monitoring the performance of the department
• Achieving marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information.
• Forecasting sales targets to ascertain the Company’s sales revenue performance.
• Scanning the market to identify market opportunities, actors, and factors by understanding consumer requirements.
• Improving product/ service marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities.
• Establishing and maintaining sustainable rapport with key accounts/ actors by making periodic visits.
• Providing information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends regarding sales and marketing.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with customers, market participants, and business partners
• Negotiate and execute related sales, purchase, and service agreements consistent with commercial strategies.
• Participating in budget management and control.
• Regularly gathering competitive market intelligence to determine evolving trends that impact the business and make appropriate decisions timely.
• Ensuring adequate controls are in place to protect the company and the customers from financial/reputation loss.
• Maintaining customer feedback loop
• Organising and coordinating sales and marketing review events,
• Participating in business development activities.
• Undertaking any other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor
Key academic qualifications
The job requires a high sense of maturity with vast relevant knowledge in the areas of sales and marketing and product development, logistics, global trends/ developments in sales and marketing, and supply chain management. In addition, the job requires the following academic qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following; Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Commerce, International/ Public Relations, IT, Business Computing/ Statistics, and/or Business Administration or any other relevant discipline from a recognized University.
• Possession of relevant Professional qualifications like; CIM, CIPS, PMP, Prince2, CIMA, CPA, ACCA, CFA CIA, etc.
• Possession of a Master’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, International Trade, or any other relevant Business-related field from a recognized University.
Working experience and other relevant skills
The job requires a person with vast practical and relevant working experience of at least 7 years, 3 of which should have been at a supervisory level in a reputable organization preferably those dealing IT related services/ products. The job holder shall have:
• Practical experience in the application of marketing tools and techniques.
• Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of the dynamics in the sales and marketing field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of data analysis and report writing.
• Demonstrable ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures.
• Empirical strong selling and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrable ability to deal with all levels of management.
• Prior experience in financial trading preferred
• Knowledge of market fundamentals including internal and external context,
• Demonstrable understanding of contracting procurement and contracting processes and practices in the public sector.
• Thorough understanding of risk analysis and management.
• Demonstrable understanding of product development cycle
• Knowledge of supply chain management systems,
• Key account management experience.
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarization with dash-board tool.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
• Excellent influencing and negotiation skills with an ability to interact effectively in a multi-client environment.
• Customer orientated and a results-driven attitude.
• Innovative thinker, positive proactive, and readily embraces changes
• Demonstrable ability to work with teams and work under pressure.
