Job Summary
To support the Corporation’s quality assurance and standard function by leading the development, management and oversight over Quality Management and Assurance systems across UPPC.
Key duties and responsibilities;
• Advise management and report on all aspects of quality management systems performance within UPPC.
• Ensure that all in-house quality management systems, polices, standards and operating procedures are developed, implemented and up – to date in conformance to national and international certification bodies and standards.
• Prepare, communicate and co-ordinate QMS management reviews and share Quality improvement program reports with management.
• Prepare Quality Assurance reports to the Management Team on a monthly basis.
• Manage, coach and develop a high performing QMS team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results with continuous improvement.
• Train UPPC staff in all aspects of QMS systems and application of procedures.
• Perform regular internal QMS audits and ensure corrective actions are undertaken to address challenges found.
• Management lead in ISO certification audits and coordinate implementation of corrective actions identified.
• Develop QMS systems to manage, monitor and timely address customer complaints.
• Conduct customer satisfaction surveys and designation plans to address identified customer needs and gaps for continuous improvement.
• Monitor the implementation of the strategic plan and provide status to management.
• To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification skills and experience
• MBA with Quality Management systems or any related course.
• A Bachelor’s degree is Quality Assurance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to advise the Management Team in Quality Strategy Development.
• Knowledge of International Standards Organizations (ISO) is desirable.
• Three to five years of experience in Quality Assurance required with supervisory experience a plus.
