Our main focus has been on supporting civil society involvement in conflict prevention and security provision, conflict and gender-sensitive approaches to development, and advocating stronger national and regional controls on small arms and light weapons.
Saferworld is seeking to recruit a dynamic, qualified and professional person with high level of integrity to fill the position below:
1.Position: RMEL Adviser
Reporting: Country Manager
Duty Station: Kampala

Job overview:
The RMEL Adviser will support Saferworld Uganda programme and partners to articulate the changes that it aims to bring about through its work, support staff and partners' capacity on RMEL, implement organizational systems and processes to collect evidence of outcomes, and share learning with Saferworld, with partners and with other stakeholders. The RMEL Adviser will promote a participatory approach to RMEL, which empowers our partners and programme participants and ensures our work is grounded in the local context and priorities. S/he will be expected to refine and maintain the RMEL system of the programme and ensure it is implemented effectively.

Main Job Responsibility:

• Lead on developing and refining the RMEL system and processes for the Uganda programme
• Lead on the implementation of monitoring, evaluation and learning activities
• Support and training of staff and partners on saferworld M&E concepts and processes.
• Build and maintain effective relationships, ensuring regular liaison and information sharing with external stakeholders and with other parts of Saferworld

Knowledge, qualifications and experience
• Minimum of 8 years' extensive experience with monitoring program implementation using qualitative and quantitative approaches.
• Preferably with a Master's Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Social science, Sociology, development studies, Peacebuilding, Statistics, or a related field is required.
• Demonstrate experience/knowledge in using RMEL methods and approaches, including theories of change and using the logical framework approach, either in a MEL role or other (e.g. programme management), within the INGO/NGO sector.
