JOB DETAILS:
REPORTS TO: REGIONAL HEAD OF DISTRIBUTION

ROLE PURPOSE
The role will be based at the region or as may be advised by management from time to time.
• Building Agent and Merchant network, management, supervision, and training of PBU Agents/Merchants in the region.
• Grow revenue from agent and merchant related business

KEY RESULT AREAS/ DELIVERABLES:

•Ensure recruitment and maintenance of Agent
• Guide and Co-ordinate recruitment of PBU Agents, acquisition of customers (Accounts) in liaison with the Branch Managers in the region.
• Plan, Coordinate & Manage training of new recruited agents as well the existing bank agents in the region to ensure agent quality & activity.
• Drive PBU revenue through agent activity, agent quality and liquidity Levels.
• Liquidity Management. Ensure the Agent banking ¬eld teams understand & appreciate the importance of liquidity management and hence ensure agent liquidity.
• Supervise and Manage Agent Banking ¬eld teams (Community Bankers) in Liaison with the Branch Managers to ensure the set targets are met.
• Ensure recruitment of agents & accounts meet the set compliance guidelines by PBU & the regulator.
• Ensures that Bank procedures & internal processes are followed in Agent recruitment & on-boarding.
• Drive agent visibility in the region by supporting the ¬eld teams with trade materials for branding and ensuring availability of su cient trade materials for the region.
• Offer support, follow up for Agent and merchant complaints, and issues raised or identi¬ed.
• Be the primary contact person for all Agent issues.
• Ensure Postbank agents provide high quality customer service.
• Ensure uptake of Mobile and internet banking at agent points.
• Coordinate training, branding, dispatch, and collection of all transaction/trading equipment, but not limited to customer registration/account opening forms and POS materials to and from agent/merchant outlets.
• Leadership, Motivation and Coaching of the regional Agent banking teams
• Coordinate Marketing activities in relation to agent banking in the region like marketing campaigns & product or Agent launch.
• Undertake Market intelligence to gather competitor information for management decisions
• Ensure agent engagement through routine agent visitations and planned agent conventions or meetings for the purpose of training.
• Ensure all customers acquired by the Agents are registered on all digital platforms of the bank.
• Ensure Loan Origination from the Agent points
• Carry out Agent oat ¬nancing to agents within his area.
• Be the frontline person in device troubleshooting and con¬guration at agent and merchant locations.
• Champion fraud management in the region, ensure that the team reports any suspicious activity within the region
• Prepare Monthly/quarterly/Annual regional agency Banking reports
• Develop and monitor agency banking budget performance in region
• Responsible for managing devices, stationery & ensuring clear record keeping & reconciliation of regional stock including issuance & returns management.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING
• A Business degree in finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, management, or any relevant field.
• Practical training in business growth/Sales in the financial services sector

SKILLS AND BEHAVIORAL ATTRIBUTES

• Min of 3-5 years’ experience in a banking/Telecom environment with hands on in Client relationship Management or Agent Network Management.
• Must have critical thinking, analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must have an in-depth understanding about agent
• Interpersonal relationship skills, Assertive, “self-starter” personality that is energetic and sociable.
• Aggressive salesperson
• Ability to work out lasting customer relationships
• Team player, ability to work under pressure, and in position to exercise excellent judgment
