We are looking for Sales Trainee to join our team in Kampala.

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic Commercial team as a Sales Personnel Trainee. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to kick-start their career in sales, develop essential skills, and grow within a fast-paced and rewarding environment. The Sales Personnel Trainee will undergo comprehensive training to learn about our products, industry, and effective sales techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Training Program Participation:
• Actively engage in a structured training program designed to equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills for success in sales.
• Attend workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
• Collaborate with mentors and colleagues to accelerate learning and development.
2. Product Knowledge:
• Learn and understand the features and benefits of our products to effectively communicate value propositions to potential customers.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor offerings.
3. Sales Support:
• Assist the sales team in various administrative tasks, including preparing sales documents, managing customer databases, and coordinating meetings.
• Shadow experienced sales representatives to observe and learn effective selling strategies.
4. Customer Interaction:
• Gradually take on responsibilities for customer interactions, including responding to inquiries, providing information, and building relationships.
• Learn to identify customer needs and preferences to tailor sales presentations accordingly.
5. Sales Techniques:
• Develop and refine sales techniques through hands-on experience and guidance from mentors.
• Practice objection handling, negotiation, and closing skills under supervision.
6. Performance Evaluation:
• Participate in regular performance evaluations to assess progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Set and work towards achievable goals in collaboration with the Sales Manager.
Mandatory Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of sales principles is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
