JOB DETAILS:
Uganda Warehouse Receipt System Authority ( UWRSA ) looking to recruit Dynamic and self motivated Ugandans to fill the under listed vacant position:
POSITION TITLE: Statistician
Salary Scale: (UWRSA Level 3)
Responsible to: Manager Policy & Planning
Responsible for: Research Assistants
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Review budgets. analysis of strategic plan, policy documents and
provide guidance on budgets and work plans. .

KEY FUNCTIONS
• Analyse the Authority programmes, policies for accuracy and consistency with the National Goals and policy framework
• Analyse strategic plan options to guide the Authority in deciding investment priorities and resource allocation
• Prepare and submit economic reports
• Formulate and facilitate the implementation of the recurrent and development budgets of the Authority
• Review Workplans and documentation
• Coordinate. provide technical guidance and support in planning activities and budget preparations to the various departments of the Authority
• Research and Draft policy options and concept papers for consideration by the Board of Directors
• Establish, develop. review and maintain an appropriate system! framework.-‘tools suitable for data collection, monitoring and evaluation of the Authority’s projects and programmes
• Monitor and evaluate the Authority's programmes/policies to inform the policy decision making process and enhance implementation
• Participate in the preparation of the Budget Framework paper and Ministerial Statements
• Monitor Budget performance of the Authority
• Spearhead the review of Strategic Plans
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Planner manager Policy & Planning)

QUALIFICATIONS
• A Honours Bachelor's Degree in either economics or statistics or Quantitative economics
• A Masters Degree and post graduate diploma in a related filled will be an added advantage

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience served at the level of economist in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization
