JOB DETAILS:
Team Leader will coordinate and plan financial literacy training cycle implementation, assist in training of voluntary FLT Trainers, provide technical support in quality project implementation, data collection and reporting, provide guidance to field staff on best adult teaching approaches and methodologies. Position holder has 5-6 Field Supervisors in the team. She/he will carry out regular visits to settlements to meet WFP Cooperating partners, other stakeholders, and project field teams. This position requires excellent organisational and networking skills.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Technical Advice and Support on Project Implementation (30%)
• Provide technical support and advice to field teams and partners, in regard of planning, implementation, monitoring, budget forecasts and evaluation of Financial Literacy Training activities.
• Mentor and develop technical skills in field teams and among FLT Trainers, especially on planning, financial literacy topics, teaching delivery, monitoring and evaluation.
• Keep up to date on developments in the Financial Literacy sector and ensure that learning is incorporated into programming and shared with other staff.
• Conduct regular field visits to review and report on training progress and impact, especially in relation to efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide feedback to field staff and management on key emerging recommendations from the location of operation. Project planning (20%)
• Work collaboratively with the Project Manager and other colleagues to develop Financial literacy training related work plans for the respective locations, including;
• Identification at refugee settlement level the refugee households receiving cash-based assistance from WFP to be involved in the financial literacy trainings organised in 8 week learning cycles.
• Coordinating the identification and selection of volunteers from refugee communities to be trained as Financial Literacy Training (FLT) Trainers.
• Mapping out of financial literacy training providers and financial service providers at settlement level. Evaluate strengths and weaknesses of the financial literacy trainings, and activities and provide timely feedback on the same for timely action.
• Participate in both internal and external meetings relevant to the project delivery improvements. Stakeholder relations and networking (20%)
• Engage in relevant refugee coordination mechanism at settlement level as agreed with Project Manager.
• Sustain relations and effective communication and information sharing with relevant stakeholders at settlement level – including WFP, their Cooperating Partners, other NGOs providing financial literacy trainings, local government, OPM, UNHCR, financial service providers. Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (20%)
• Ensure in cooperation with MEAL Specialist, that mechanisms are in place to measure and improve quality of the project, sharing best practises and transfer of technical skills to FLT field staff.
• Assist and provide information to any WFP led baselines and end line studies when necessary and relevant.
• Support active monitoring & evaluation amongst field staff, collect and analyse data.
• Write, review and provide input for reports on formats provided by WFP. in a timely manner and other documents as needed.
• Provide feedback to project beneficiaries on emerging issues in the field and support the organisation of field missions to donors and other stakeholders. Staff management and development (10%)
• Lead and manage settlement level project team(s) to ensure clarity over plans, targets and priorities.
• Provide supervision, guidance and mentoring to Field Supervisors and encourage effective teamwork and inclusiveness.
• Support Field Supervisors to set performance targets and support their achievement.
• Support staff to comply with FRC internal policies and donor regulations.
• Support and participate in project staff recruitment, induction and arrange in-house trainings and performance evaluation when applicable. To execute any other tasks in FRC as directed by Project Manager.

Qualification and Competencies Education & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, Business / Livelihood Skills, Development Studies, Community Development, or other relevant field, combined with strong experience on training adults and monitoring and evaluation of projects.
• Post graduate qualification in Project Management and Planning, Development Studies , M&E is an added advantage Experience:
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience at middle management level.
• Experience in working with and coordination with multiple partners.
• Working in a refugee context is an added advantage although not a strict requirement. Essential Skills: Ability to prioritise demanding workload and to work under minimal supervision.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Good communication, feedback, and interpersonal and supervisory skills.
• Assertive and able to question unclear transactions.
• Willingness to step in and solve difficult situations.
• Able to work with multi-cultural environment within the organization and within refugee settlement.
• Good computing skills; proficiency on Word, Microsoft Office packages, and M & E tools such as Kobo toolbox.
