JOB DETAILS:
The independent implementation of sub-areas of the employment promotion component with a focus on basic financial literacy, entrepreneurship, soft skills and start up support for vulnerable, rural, low-literacy youths. Support field-based monitoring and evaluation and provide quality control Support knowledge management and organizational learning by documenting and showcasing innovative approaches and results. Provide input for donor reporting. Private sector engagement and linkages for employment Assisting programme initiatives to provide professional advisory services to and cooperate with a broad range of target groups. Supporting MSME development activities with the aim to generate employment and supporting implementation of entrepreneurship support measures.

Specific Tasks
Coordination and monitoring tasks
• Assists and monitors the development/implementation of project plans and activities in close consultation with counterparts. Conceptualizes, plans, implements workshops and other events on issues connected with the project result areas. Assists in coordination of private sector and SME development. Keep abreast of developments in the MSME and private sector development to inform project interventions.
Networking and cooperation
• Supports cooperation, regular contact and dialogue with stakeholders in the project area especially the DLG to improve and maintain good working relationships. Exchanges knowledge and learnings with other stakeholders in the sector. Draws on existing evidence to improve the quality of th eproject activities. : .
Conducts necessary assessments in collaboration with relevant
• private and public stakeholders. This includes impact assessments on local economies and surveys. Supports cooperation, regular contact and dialogue with the public and private sector, refugees and host communities, non-governmental agencies and individuals in the project area to improve and maintain good working relationships. Supports with investment opportunities identification in the priority value chains and market linkages of the Project region.

Knowledge management
• Ensures information management and knowledge transfer of
• project/programme information. Prepares appropriate input for various project reports including annual reports and contributes to other reports.

Other Duties/Additional Tasks
• Performs other duties and tasks at the request of management.
• Required qualifications, competencies and experience. Qualifications Master's degree in Economics, Development Studies, Trade, Business studies, Law or related field.
•Professional experience
• At least 5 years of demonstrated experience working on
• programmes in private sector development, business environment reform, business development. Experience in the areas of financial literacy and inclusion, entrepreneurship and business start-ups support. Excellent M&E competencies, with experience in designing and implementing complex M&E frameworks, supporting data collection, support analysis and interpretation Experience in cooperation with local governments and humanitarian actors

Other knowledge/skills
Good working knowledge of ITC technologies (related software,
• phone, fax, email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office).

Level of Education:
Associate Degree
