JOB DETAILS:
JOB MISSION/ DIMENSION
The Treasurer Senior is based in Kampala. EACOP Ltd is a company based in UK, domiciled in UG, with a permanent establishment in TZ; it has 4 shareholders, TotalEnergies, UNOC, TPDC and UNOC. It is to build and operate a 1442 km oil pipeline from Hoima (UG) to Tanga (TZ). 500 invoices and expense claim monthly, bank accounts in 3 currencies (UGX, TZS, USD) in estimated 3 banks. Payments of compensation and Transition Support Services (TSS) to PAPs
In charge of day-to-day Treasury functions: Bank accounts and Forex management (including treasury forecast, payments), preparing cash calls sent to Shareholders/Lenders, Financial Debt,

JOB CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
• Shareholders Agreement
• Payment of TSS to PAPs
• Implementation of the external Financing

• Timely payment of vendor invoices & expense claims
• Efficient cash management

Key qualifications and competencies required:
• Process the monthly payments of TSS to PAPs, with thorough controls / monitoring / reconciliations of all batch payments (made on the bank internet platform)
• Support the day-to-day Treasury activities:
• Run weekly settlement to pay suppliers and expense notes timely
• Schedule all interbank transfers and negotiate FX deals
• Maintain adequate levels of cash o Reconcile daily the Bank statements loaded in Workday
• Liaise with the banks to resolve promptly any issue related to accounts and/or payments
• Prepare the monthly Treasury forecast,
• Prepare the cash calls sent to Shareholders and/or Lenders
• Prepare the Treasury reports (weekly, monthly)
• Assist the Chief Accountant during external audits (statutory and financial, fiscal, shareholders, national authorities)
• Support the opening of new bank accounts during the implementation of the external financing (third party debt)
• Support the connection of the new bank accounts to EACOP Ltd Treasury Management system (Integrity of FIS) and ERP (Workday)

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
• Master degree in Finance – ACCA Level 2

Experience:
• Minimum 15-year experience in Treasury and Accounting, ideally in Oil & Gas in in the Banking sector, with international exposure
• Knowledge of Workday or similar ERP, Microsoft Office Suite Competencies:
• Strong technical skills in Treasury, Accounting and ERP systems.
• Analytical mind, focus on processes, attention for details.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team spirit; ability to cope with pressure and to respect deadlines.
• Excellent level in English (spoken & written); Swahili is a plus
