Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Baker to join the culinary team at a 4-star hotel in Uganda. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of high-quality baked goods, including breads, pastries, and desserts, while
maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation. This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary between UGX 800,000 – 1,200,000, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods.
• Operate and maintain baking equipment such as ovens, mixers etc
• Monitor baking process to ensure consistency and quality.
• Decorate and present baked goods in an appealing manner.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory, monitor ingredient freshness, and place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to develop new recipes and seasonal offerings.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Diploma in Pastry & Bakery
• Proven experience as a Baker of not less than 5 years in a busy pastry kitchen
• Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety regulations.
• Flexibility working night shifts.
• Strong attention to detail and creativity in baking and decorating.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Physical stamina to stand for long hours and handle heavy ingredients
