About Us
Nakasero Hospital is a private hospital in Uganda that has been in operation since 2009. Our Mission is to provide quality, sustainable, compassionate health care by leveraging local and international talent and state-of-the-art technology.
As such we are looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of a Cook.
Job Purpose: Is to provide catering, food planning and preparation services in accordance with program guidelines, applicable sanitation standards and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan meals for patients and customers.
• Food preparation and presentation.
• Producing meals on time and serving right meals at a right time.
• Work closely with chef to determine the best methods of preparation for individual food taste.

Competencies/Abilities:
Ability to multi-task and deal with diverse responsibilities, Interpersonal skills, Analytical, communication and writing skills, An analytical, problem-solving and creative work approach, Time management and team work, Knowledge of health hazards in food service and precautionary measures.

Knowledge/Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum of UCE and a qualification in catering
• At least one year working experience in a similar role.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: High School
