Emergency Response Manager- West Nile
Duration: 1 Year fixed contract
Plan international are recruiting for an Emergency Response Manager to oversee the management of speciﬁc emergency programmes, ensuring response achvities are in line with donor compliance and Plan internationals standard policies and procedures and to lead on the development of speciﬁc humanitarian response strategies,‘ clearly deﬁning key priorities in line with Plan international‘s expertise.
You will oversee the implementation of the “West Nile Transformation Plan" that in the long term aims to generate durable solutions to bridge the humanitarian and development gap and lead and manage rapid needs assessments ensuring a clear focus on the speciﬁc needs of children and in particular girls.
You will be responsible for representing Plan international with the Government. both at national and regional level highlighting key issues of concern impacting on children and in particular on girls and engaging with relevant humanitarian fora and clusters in country, ensuring appropriate information is provided in a timely basis. in addition you will be responsible for developing an appropriate grant pipeline.
You will have significant humanitarian aid experience in complex and natural disasters and excellent leadership and managerial experience, including managing large budgets, complex decision making and leading a multidisciplinary, multinational team under difficult circumstances.
With proven expertise in representation and negotiation with governments and donors you will have a strong understanding of the humanitarian emergency operating context, including Sphere, the humanitarian system. donors, security, civil military liaison and program management.
