THE AIDS SUPPORT ORGANIZATION (TASO UGANDA) EXTERNAL VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Overview The AIDS Support Organization (TASO Uganda), is an Organization contributing to a process of preventing HIV infection, restoring hope and improving the quality of life of persons, families and communities affected by HIV infection and disease. TASO Is Implementing various projects funded by the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Global Fund to support the Government of Uganda accelerate epidemic control and the attainment of the UNAIDS 95 95 95 goals. TASO requires the services of dedicated, competent, innovative and result-oriented individuals for employment on a contract basis for the posts below:
Job Title - REF: TS/HR/OPEN 01: Finance Manager (01)
Classification: Contract- Full time
Report to: Finance Director/Business Official
Functionally supported by: Regional Project Manager
Salary: Commensurate with training and experience
Location: Regional Office (as may be defined but within Uganda)
Directly Supervises: Financial Management Specialists

Job Responsibilities
• To provide overall financial management oversight to the project through ensuring timely completion of financial reporting obligations as stated in the grants agreement, financial resources are adequate, well managed and property utilized and accounted for during the implementation of the planned activities according to the set procedures and guidelines of the project and ensure that fiduciary risks are minimized.

Job Qualifications
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience, three (3) of which should have been acquired from donor funded organizations and project financial management preferably in the health, social or finance sector.

Job Education Requirements:
• Master's degree in Finance and Accounts or Masters in Business Administration (Accounting) with full professional qualifications such as ACCA or CPA. Qualification In CIMA is an added advantage.
