JOB DETAILS:

Location: Kampala, Uganda. Mobilized to Albert Lake, construction sites or other cities if required.

Primary function
• To provide effective and efficient field support services to the drilling operation.
• To support Logistics team (Traffic, Transport, Warehousing, material & Freight Forwarding) with development of internal projects, policy & procedures to enhance efficiency gains.

Responsibilities.
• Establish an international logistics network for the drilling campaign, ensure cargo move smoothly and efficiently.
• Responsible for entrance and exit permit and tariff exemption procedures. ~ Prepare import and export materials transportation plan, and supervise the implementation.
• Responsible for cargo transportation, material handling and management of marine operations.
• Responsible for aviation service of personal movement between Kampala and site.
• Develop on-going logistics forecasts, support supply chain manager in reviewing and developing policies and procedures for in country logistics management.
• Develop scope, evaluate, and establish emergency contingency plans to support Logistics operations.
• Support Logistics team with coordination & monitoring of financial budget activities for the projects.
• Identify changes and recommend solutions to improve processes and information integrity.
• Analyze existing logistical infrastructure and provide recommendations for optimization based on operational effectiveness and efficiency.
• Analyze operational requirements and develop concept of support plan and management tools to enable and assess implementation.
• Other duties assigned by their Superior.

Requirements
• Bachelors degree or above in Petroleum engineering, drilling and completion, planning, management or the related.
• At least 10-year related working experience & 5-year managing position experience
• D&C work experience is required.

Knowledge
• Extensive knowledge of laws and rules of Custom and commercial inspection.
• Extensive knowledge of logistics and foreign trade process.
• Knowledge of declaration, import and export transportation.
• Extensive knowledge of warehouse operation.
• Experience of oil E&P.
