Job Details:
Reporting to the Country Manager, the individual will be responsible for bringing in potential clients with the aim of maximizing sales and helping with the implementation of marketing strategies aligned with the organizational strategic goals thereby increasing the market share for Blackwood Hodge Power Services Limited.
Responsibilities
- Achieve targeted requirements for the Prime Sales to allocated customers. Handle them successfully and independently.
- Ensure full knowledge of customer’s requirements, projects and overall business standings.
- Regular visit to customer projects / offices to generate incremental business. Continually generate new prospects to improve the Company’s share of market. Promote Blackwood Hodge Company’s value-added products and Product Link etc.
- Customers to be called on predetermined call frequency which is based on ownership, size and type of business. Average call rate per day not to be less than 5 and total coverage for the month is not less than 95% of predetermined calls.
- Make daily Call Reports giving full details of calls made, including competitive information and prospective sales leads.
- At the beginning of each week, prepare and submit to Sales Manager a list of customers to be visited during that week. Must keep an up-to-date record of each customer and his activities.
- Liaise with relevant department within Blackwood Hodge to ensure smooth processing of customer requests for Prime Sales.
- Enhance business relationship within customer’s organisation at all levels.
- Carry out any other tasks as assigned by the Company from time to time.
- Assist the Sales Manager in setting the objectives for the Department.
- Regular interaction with Sales manager to brief on customer visits and obtain feedback and direction
- Assist the Sales Manager in achieving the objectives through an Action Plan and achieve budgeted sales targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Degree in Engineering, Business Studies or Marketing. from a recognized university
- At least minimum 3-5 years experience working as a Salesman/woman with a major Dealer/Importer of Generators or equipment.
Required skills
- Knowledge in handling customers, territories, project and competitors’ strength and weaknesses.
- Technical knowledge-Product Knowledge, Machines, water pumps, Generators visual inspection, and computers skills.
- Communication skills- Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff, customers, and management.
