Key Responsibilities:
- Design, install, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems in water supply projects.
- Oversee equipment selection and installation, ensuring compliance with technical standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues during project execution.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of designs, tests, modifications, and maintenance.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.
- Collect and review operational data of electro-mechanical equipment/systems, making recommendations for efficiency improvements.
- Prepare designs, specifications, and cost estimates for remedial actions, submitting reports for approval.
- Prepare technical specifications and bills of quantities for electro-mechanical equipment procurement.
- Carry out equipment/system installation designs, plans, and supervise design drawings.
- Verify imported electro-mechanical equipment for specification compliance.
- Supervise installation, ensuring compliance with design specifications and contract administration.
- Check and certify contractor’s progress payment claims for electro-mechanical items.
- Coordinate project implementation with government and stakeholders.
- Test and commission electro-mechanical equipment/systems, preparing commissioning and handover reports.
- Prepare works progress and contract close-out reports.
- Train water corporation staff on operation, maintenance, and record-keeping.
- Review electro-mechanical assets/systems operational performance and produce reports.
- Reconcile imported electro-mechanical equipment on project completion as directed.

- Educational Background and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of electro-mechanical experience, including 3 years in design and implementation of electro-mechanical equipment for urban water supply schemes.
- Knowledge of World Bank regulations, rules, policies, procedures, and practices is desirable.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Fluency in written and oral English.
- Highly motivated, positive attitude, problem-solving approach, flexibility, and teamwork ability.
