Role Description
This is a full-time role for an Finance And Administration Officer at NOC LINKS.
- The Finance and Administration Officer will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day business finance and admnistration, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
- Responsible for filing timely and accurate monthly tax returns for the company and its shareholders with robust knowledge of the Efris system and tax system.
- Clear and fair understanding of the Uganda Tax compliance guidelines and laws and advise the company on best measures to approach them.
- Conduct compliance checks with company and regulators
- Implement, monitor and evaluate internal controls and compliance procedures.
- Review all payment transactions to ensure completeness and accuracy of supporting documentation and budgeting and ensure all authorizations are respected in the approval of payments prior to making any payments.
- Preparing books of accounts and accounting records;
- Managing, controlling and accounting for the financial resources of the company.
- Preparing and coordinating budgets and work plans for the company
- Reconciling bank statements to iron out discrepancies with cash books;
- Preparing financial statements and reports;
- Answering audit queries and mandatory inquiries whenever necessary;
- Providing technical support to the company on financial matters;
- Planning, supervising and assessing the performance of staff in the organisation;
- Reviewing and identifying alternative sources of revenue generation;
- Coordinating the procurement and payment for goods and services provided to the company; and
- Enforcing adherence to financial policy, regulations and professional practices in all financial transactions.
- Very Strong, good written and verbal English communication skills.
2.Administration
- Answering Phone calls and taking messages and detail oriented.
- Managing meeting rooms for office operations
- Managing and supervising all field and office staff ,check their compliance ,recording and monitoring of their activities.
- Organize internal and external events and meetings.
- Coordinate and manage clients and their requests
- Great Multi-tasking abilities in coordination and execution of activities.
- Ability to work quickly and effectively while staying calm under pressure.
- The role is located in Kampala, with the possibility of some field work.
Qualifications
- Financial Planning and Analytical Skills
- 5 years’ experience in finance and Accounting
- Excellent Communication and Coordination skills
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of industry best practices
- Minimal project management skills
- Time management skills
Excellent computer skills including excel spreadsheet, database, word processing, presentation, and email applications.
Proficiency in Accounting software is desirable.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion is required.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and take initiative.
Honors Bachelors Degree in either Commerce (Accounting option) or Business
Administration (Accounting option) or Business Studies ( Accounting option) or Finance and
Accounting plus a Professional Accounting Qualifications,atleast ACCA level 2, CPA Level 2 from a recognized University/institution
