Job Overview: We are seeking a talented and proactive PR & Digital Comms Executive to join our team in Kampala, Uganda. Reporting to the PR & Digital Manager, the Digital Executive will play a key role in executing campaigns, enhancing our clients’ online visibility, and driving engagement across PR and digital platforms. This role is perfect for a tech-savvy, creative individual with a passion for digital storytelling and a knack for building online relationships. 3. Key Responsibilities: a. Campaign Execution: Assist in planning, executing, and optimising digital campaigns across platforms like SEO, SEM, social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X), email, and mobile, ensuring alignment with client goals such as lead generation, brand awareness, and conversions. b. Content Creation: Collaborate with the copywriting and design teams to develop engaging digital content, including social media posts, infographics, press releases, and media kits, tailored to target audiences and campaign objectives. c. Media & Influencer Outreach: Build and maintain relationships with online journalists, bloggers, influencers, and editors; pitch stories to secure brand mentions, backlinks, and press coverage for clients. d. Social Media Management: Manage clients’ social media accounts, scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to comments to enhance brand reputation and community interaction. e. Event Support: Organise and support virtual and in-person events (e.g., webinars, press conferences) to promote client brands, ensuring seamless execution and maximum digital reach. f. Database Management: Maintain and update media contact lists and influencer databases to support campaign outreach efforts. 4. Requirements: a. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. b. Experience: 1–3 years of experience in digital marketing, PR, or a similar role, preferably within an agency environment. A proven track record of executing successful digital campaigns is a plus. c. Skills: Strong understanding of digital marketing channels (SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing). d. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences. e. Hard worker and dedicated with exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. f. Attributes: Creative thinker with a solutions-driven mindset, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and a team player with strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients, media, and influencers.
