Welcome to Radio Wang Ooh 93.3 FM Online symposium, a platform for Radio Wang Ooh-93.3 FM. Radio Wang Ooh Limited is a duly incorporated Company Limited based in post war Northern Uganda, media broadcasting spanning over five districts and multiple languages. According to Hon Otto Edward Makmot, the Founder and Managing Director of Radio Wang Ooh Limited and a Canadian and Ugandan Barrister and Advocate respectively, and Dr Josephine Okwera Otto, co- Director, the Radio was commisioned by H.E President Yoweri Museveni in the year 2018. The name Wang ooh means camp fire, derived from the informal school of the African delivered while gather around a fireplace before the missionaries established the modern/ formal school. It is a hubrid juxtaposition of of formal and informal education through mass media and a recognition that information education / culture is integral is shaping/ character/ personalities.

Radio Wang Ooh 93.3 FM is not state owned but it is both a commercial and community radio station. It is a social enterprise. As a media house we plan to to establish a group of communiction and adverstising mediums. We have established a community FM radio in Northern Uganda (Wang ooh 93.3 Fm). This community radio project is in progress and running on air. In the long run, we shall establish a Television station, Print Paper and an advertsing Agency
Our demographic / age target is from 10 - 75 years basing on our programming. Radio Wang Ooh 93.3 FM is loud and clear in areas of Agago, Pader, Kitgum, Lamwo, Abim, Kotido, Moroto, Otuke, Alebtong with spill overs in Lira and Omoro Districts. We equally reach out to multiple tribes in the regions of Karamoja, Acholi and Lango. We broadcast in languages of Acholi, English and Jabwor. Our aim is to inform, educate, entertain and empower our communities in post war cnnflict zones of north and eastern Uganda on: aftermath of war and recovery, culture, agriculture, education, livelihoods,gender mainstreaming, reproductive and maternal health, politics and the effects of gender based vilence among others.
