Show Mercy works on the ground providing direct assistance that helps children, families and communities in Uganda reach their full potential in life.
Where we work
Show Mercy International in Uganda is located approximately 14 miles NW of Kampala off of Hoima Road in the village of Nawanswa/Kaliti.
Our ministry is fueled by a passion for people. In 2003, when we (Mike and Lori Salley - Co-Founders) first went to Uganda, we experienced the LOVE of Jesus in an incredible way. We knew then, we had to extend this same opportunity to others. That's when Show Mercy was born.
Since then, thousands of people have rallied around this passion at SMI, and together we are making a life changing difference - not only in Ugandan families, but in people all around the world.
Over 25 different nations have been represented at our Uganda base of operations! Who knew God would draw people from around the world to meet and work together.
With one heartbeat, we reach out in love into the villages surrounding our almost 50 acre base.

Our Cultural Values
Our cultural values were created by both our team in the US and Uganda. It defines what we strive to obtain as stewards of the ministry of Show Mercy.
We desire our lives and work to be a reflection of the Kingdom of God that lies within us. We realize that every circumstance is an opportunity to show God’s light and reveal the truth of who He is. The way we see, think and speak reflects the finished work of the Cross. We live a celebratory lifestyle marked by rejoicing, thanksgiving and gratitude. We show honor and respect to everyone we encounter. We work together AS ONE in Christ.
We take personal responsibility for the mission and vision of Show Mercy. We take individual and collective responsibility for our actions. We steward all resources as if they were our own and to the best of our ability.
