JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Initiative Manager, the Men Engage officer is the lead in the area GBV and for implementation of men transformative approaches in Imvepi and Omugo Camp. S/he will be responsible for training and guiding the youth volunteers who will engage other youth in order to change their perception and attitude towards masculinity and women. S/he will facilitate and conduct information, Education, and Communication (IEC) sessions within the community especially youth and their leaders. The men engage officer will work closely with the shelter and livelihood teams to ensure coordinated planning and preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly partner work plans and reports on field activities are properly drafted and timely submitted to the Initiative Manager. S/he is responsible for writing and documenting case stories of lessons learnt, especially on transformed male youth entrepreneurs, supported by the project.
Job and Person Specification (requirements)
Bachelor degree in gender, Social work and Social development, Community Psychology, Sociology. Possession of a Diploma in Education or adult education would be a plus. At least 2-years‘ experience in Project Cycle Management, managing GBV projects in IDP/ refugee context a minimum of one year of hands on experience
