JOB DETAILS:

Job Purpose
1. Provide assurance audits on the risk, governance and control of the Bank’s Information Systems to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Bank’s Information Systems & infrastructure.
2. Provide advisory services on Information Technology System Development Life cycle/Acquisition of all systems and modules that the Bank introduces.

Responsibilities /Key Deliverables
1. Provide input in developing appropriate audit tests aimed at addressing identified IT risks and achieving the desired audit objectives to provide assurance that IT risks are effectively managed or mitigiated.
2. Conduct all assigned audits end-to-end; including planning, evaluating and documenting the results, reporting and follow up in accordance with the annual audit plan.
3. Prepare clear and concise audit reports on audit findings, detected non-compliance with bank policies, guidelines, statutory requirements and procedures for discussion with the Manager IT Systems Assurance & Advisory, before final reports are issued to Management for corrective action.
4. Assist the Manager IT Systems Assurance & Advisory in providing input to the annual IT audit plan/strategy to be included in the overall departmental Risk Based Annual Audit plan.
5. Take a supporting role to the Manager IT Systems Assurance & Advisory in putting programs and initiatives in place to support Internal Audit Department to optimize the use of existing CAATs (i.e., Teammate and ACL Audit Exchange audit systems) such as providing internal technical support and knowledge sharing services to all users when necessary.
6. Provide first level assurance services on all key levels of system development life cycle and acquisition process on all Information Technology System and modules being integrated into the Bank’s IT environment.
7. Develop and maintain productive client, staff and management relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.
8. Perform related work as assigned by Internal Audit Management.

Education & Training
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology or related field.
2. Professional Information Systems Audit/Security/Risk Certifications such as CISA, CISM will be of added advantage.

Skills & Experience
1. At least 3 years of experience in areas of IT Audit/Risk/Security preferably with a financial
2. Possession of technical knowledge in Core information system domains specifically Networks, Databases (Oracle and MS SQL), Operating systems & Infrastructure (MS & UNIX), Windows Active Directory and General computer
3. Working knowledge of ACL and/or Teammate Audit Systems is an added
4. Good report writing
5. Knowledge of auditing standards and techniques is an added
6. Basic knowledge of COBIT and best IT industry practices.
7. Additionally, working knowledge in the areas of: information security, IT risk, software development lifecycle, network security, internet/cyber technologies, Computer forensics, ERP Systems and databases will be of added advantage.
