JOB DETAILS:

To Perform works and operations within his responsibilities on rig floor as per safe operation procedures.

Key Responsibilities include.
• Inspect, check, maintain and lubricate handling tools and equipment on rig floor.
• Operate elevator, slips, manual tongs, iron roughneck and hydraulic hoist to complete make-up joints, trip in/out and casing running operations on rig floor.
• Place and number the drill stands while in trip out operation.
• Pick up and lay down the drilling tools and handling tools to and from rig floor.
• Inspect the drill pipes and their connections while tripping in and out.
• Change or add drill pipe or casing/tubing dopes while trip in or casing running operations.
• Assist the mechanic to lubricate equipment on rig floor.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Cooperate with rig crew to complete other work assigned by management of Rig.

Qualifications.
• A diploma in any discipline or its equivalent
• At least 1 year work experience
• Knowledge of oil and gas operations is an added advantage Competencies.
• Excellent communication skills
• Teamwork
• Good interpersonal skills
