JOB DETAILS:

Jubilee Health Insurance Company of Uganda Limited (JHICU) wishes to recruit young, competent, energetic, flexible and committed persons to fill the following position in the Company.

ROLE PURPOSE
The job holder is responsible for Insurance Business Development from the Banks and business target achievement of team by driving sale of Health insurance products to Branch Banking customers of partner banks in order to generate revenue in line with the Bancassurance sales strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Increase the number of bancassurance partners by creating mutually beneficial relationships with the various bank agencies.
2. Formulate and Disseminate sales strategies for the bancassurance channel considering the unique distribution model of each bank and bank clientele.
3. Draft & review the Bancassurance strategy and performance and take appropriate remedial action to assist all involved in the process to achieve desired performance.
4. Ensure that bancassurance team are located at key bank and bank branches and map out the bancassurance geographical expansion plan.
5. Evaluate performance across each bank with a key focus on managing the manpower, activity and productivity levels.
6. Develop process improvements to optimize bancassurance sales activities.
7. Identify areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
8. Track and analyze market trends, staying updated with the latest developments in the industry and competitor activities.
9. Manage the sales expense budget and ensure that sales incentives are rolled out and awarded in a timely manner.
10. Provide training, coaching, development to the team as well as and motivate them.
11. Monitor the portfolio persistency, checking the quality of business submitted and work with the team to ensure that the expected persistency level is maintained.
12. Provide reports to track performance for the business key drivers.
13. Collate product and business ideas from the sales force and champion cross functional team projects to deliver innovation.
14. Provide regular feedback to product development teams to design and develop niche products.
15. Ensure full compliance to all statutory and regulatory matters.
16. Follow up and closure of all audit and compliance recommendations.
17. Any other duties that may be assigned by your supervisor in line with the strategic plan.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/ Development, Economics, Administrative Law, Accounting or any Business-related course.
2. Relevant insurance Knowledge, Award in Bancassurance, COP, CII is desirable.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
1. Five (5) – Eight (8) years’ relevant experience preferably in the Insurance or Banking sector.
