JOB DETAILS:

Objective of the Position:
To manage designated grants, design and implement fundraising initiatives, establish additional sources of funding and prepare attractive funding proposals by responding appropriately to Requests For Applications (RFAs).

Qualification and Work Experience:
• University Degree in Project planning and management; Fundraising, Grants management, Proposal writing, or any other relevant field. A post graduate training in proposal writing or fundraising is preferred where the first degree is dissimilar.
• 3 years' experience in regard to writing funding proposals and a proven track record of writing successful grants
• Experience in working with the Not-for-Profit organizations and the NGO sector with a proven track record working with research grants.
• A clear understanding of the workings of bi-lateral and multi-lateral institutional donors.
• Good understanding of disability related research grants and programming.

skills desired:
• Excellent Donor report writing skills with proven ability to compile reports and analytics, good communication, presentation, coordination and social skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Computer literate, proficient with MS Word, Excel, and statistical programs.
• Strong work ethics, high level of confidentiality and integrity.
• Sensitive and committed to gender equity and diversity.
